BOOKS!

Although the information in the scenario causes me to think and analyze the importance of books and storytelling, my opinion towards reading and books has not changed.

-The stories that my students read gives them new life experiences that they might never have.
-The character relationships teach students valuable life lessons and values that they don't get from their real life peers or parents.
-Authors' voices and writing styles greatly influence my students writing style and creative abilities: it is awesome when I see my students attempt to mirror an author's idea or style of writing.
-The plot/storyline gives students something to question and analyze - a discussion can come out of reading; therefore, socialization does occur.
